Cleated Livestock Trailer Flooring

The Trailer Flooring That Gives You More Payload

Save 1,000 lbs of Trailer Weight - and Haul More Every Trip!

PolyCleat flooring, engineered for agriculture, tackles heavy-duty needs in livestock and utility trailers. It delivers the durability producers need without adding unnecessary weight and eliminates the rot risk common with traditional materials. Your trailer flooring should enhance, not restrict, your hauling capacity. If frequent replacements have been a concern, our 20-year warranty makes PolyCleat a more cost-effective, reliable choice.

Light Weight

Here’s How We Save You 1,000 lbs of Trailer Weight.

The math: PolyCleat flooring is less than half the weight of rubber-based flooring and is also lighter than wood.

Rubber Flooring - 2 1/4" x 8" board = 7.4 lbs/ft (11.1 lbs/sq. ft)

Treated Pine, 2x8 - 1 5/8" x 8" equivalent* = 4.9 lbs/ft (7.35 lbs/sq. ft)

PolyCleat Flooring - 1 5/8" x 8" board = 2.8 lbs/ft (4.2 lbs/sq. ft)

The weight: In a 24-foot trailer, PolyCleat flooring using 33 planks, each 78 inches long and 8 inches wide, weighs 604 lbs, while the same rubber composite flooring weighs 1,597 lbs (604 lbs - 1,597 lbs = 993 lbs)

Full or empty, maximize your payload by eliminating 1,000 lbs of flooring!

Super Strong

Built From Ultra-Durable Recycled Polymers.

PolyCleat flooring is constructed from our proprietary blend of industrial-grade, high-performance 100% post-consumer recycled polymers (hence, PolyCleat).

It will not crack, splinter, or rot, has UV protection, and can withstand temperatures as low as -40 degrees before becoming brittle. It is impervious to nearly all commonly used solvents and other chemicals and does not absorb manure or urine.

You can nick and ding our planks, but our 3/4” cleats will stay intact, will not wear down or break off over time, and will provide your livestock with support for years to come.

Watch the video below to see a strength comparison of PolyCleat planks vs. rubber composite planks.

Easy to Clean

Spend Less Time Cleaning and Maintaining Floors.

The compliment we receive most often is that our flooring is easy to clean.

It is non-porous and does not absorb or cling to debris and manure, making cleaning dramatically faster than with wood or rubber composite products. Cleaning can be as simple as driving through a rainstorm or brushing it out when it’s dry, which is especially important for producers in low-rain areas.

If you are used to cleaning for 40 minutes with a pressure washer, our planks will take less than 20 minutes to clean. This is the timesaver you’ve been looking for!

Professional Appearance

Backed By a 20-Year Warranty.

Is it unusual to compliment trailer flooring on its looks? Maybe. But PolyCleat’s crisp, clean lines and consistently aligned cleats create a finished appearance you’ll appreciate every time you open the trailer door.

The ‘shine’ you see in the photos comes from the manufacturing process. It doesn't affect grip and wears off after the first use; think of it as a new pair of leather cowboy boots on concrete. Your livestock will stay standing tall for the next 20 years.

Easy to Install

Improve Footing for Your Livestock in Just a Few Hours.

If you have installed a wood floor before, you already know how to install PolyCleat. Our planks are designed to mimic a 2x8 and can be cut and drilled quickly with standard woodworking tools.

The groove lines on top of the plank run the entire length and indicate where screws should be inserted so they pass through the legs beneath, gripping as much of the material as possible.

Just like with wood, always drill a pilot hole and use self-tapping screws. You can leave a 1/2” to 1” gap between planks for cleanout.

Your metal bracing underneath can span from 12" to 16”, and the flooring should be screwed down to the steel support beams below, just like wood.

Depending on livestock traffic and usage, planks can be installed in an aligned or offset pattern to give more or less space between cleats.

Both patterns are built into every plank.

The aligned pattern is achieved by lining up our logo in the same direction on each plank.

The offset pattern is achieved by turning every other plank so that the logo faces the opposite direction (180-degree rotation).

It’s as easy as that!

Extends the Life of Your Trailer

Eliminate Moisture Absorption and Rot.

PolyCleat flooring has four legs underneath, so it does not lie flat on the trailer frame like wood or rubber planks.

Minimal contact with the metal frame helps reduce trapped moisture and debris that can cause the steel to rust.

The unique design of four legs supports the plank and reduces contact with your steel.
